Background and History
Toppan Leefung Pte. Ltd., formerly called SNP Corporation, evolved from what was Singapore National Printers Pte. Ltd. This had been the former Singapore Government Printing Office established in 1867 to produce gazettes and other official government publications.
The Company was incorporated in 1973 as a commercial entity to assume the role of the Government Printer. It became the first company to be listed on the SESDAQ (Stock Exchange of Singapore Dealing and Quotation System) in 1987 and was upgraded to the Main Board of the Singapore Stock Exchange in 1990.
In 2001, Toppan Leefung Pte. Ltd. began an acquisition strategy designed to increase its product offerings and become a regional player. By 2006, it had expanded its network across the Asia Pacific region and garnered fourteen subsidiaries; two in Singapore, eleven in Greater China and one in USA. Its service portfolio grew to include high-end book and magazine production, pop-up book manufacturing, premedia services, financial communications services as well as packaging material supply.

In September 2008, Toppan Leefung Pte. Ltd. became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toppan Printing Co., Ltd., the world’s largest printing conglomerate which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Company is basically an investment holding company established to manage group-wide issues such as long-term strategic direction, growth targets and broad business objectives. It oversees and directs the development of all subsidiary companies and ensures their progress.
Till today, we serve as the Government Printer and are the only authorised agent to retail government gazettes and legal publications under our Legal Publishing arm. On behalf of SPRING Singapore, we also sell Singapore Standards e.g. Code of practice, Singapore Standards and Technical References, etc. In addition, the Company also engaged in advertising services – Republic Advertising Consultants
